Journal Launch: Expanded Field
In cooperation with Expanded Field
The launch of the first issue of Expanded Field, a biannual, online and open-access English-language journal for creative writing and image/text experimentation.
Under the direction of the student-led editorial board, located at the Department of Language, Literature, and Communication at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Expanded Field offers a platform for the exhibition of original and translated works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, comics, image/texts, and other experimental works not so easily or readily classified within genre or medium boundaries.
To mark the launch of our first issue, The Death Issue, the journal will be presented. Guest speaker Dr. Jannah Loontjens will discuss her creative process and will give a reading from the English translation of her acclaimed novel, But Then Again. A reception will follow.
